Persepolis

All right, friends, a movie recommendation for all of you: Persepolis. It's not in wide release (the Broadway for those of us Utah-bound) and I saw it Saturday night and it was lovely. It's based on an autobiographical graphic novel (I know, it's ok I promise) and is animated--mostly in black and white. It's set in Iran and Austria during the political upheaval in the 70's. It's a little episodic and a little halting, but it makes up for itself visually--it is gorgeous.

And welcome. If you have any questions or ideas or whatever, let me know. (I'm so excited!)

Maybe...it did the festival circuit and is still in theaters here, but probably in the next couple of months.
