The Dirt

Information culled from Melissa and my reconnaissance mission:
Omi's doing fine. There's something that calms her about being in the hospital I think. It sounds weird, and I could be wrong, but as long as there's something wrong and there's something being done about it, she seems to be happy. If you didn't know, they found a blood clot in her leg.
We also found out that after Opi started following the Word of Wisdom, his mom would help him out of rough hosting situations (like when customers would offer him a drink or a cigar) by calling him to take the telephone.
Also, that Uromi was really mad at Omi for taking Opi away when they moved from Germany. She didn't forgive Omi for a long while and forgot to tell Omi about it for even longer.

Grandma and Grandpa seem like they're doing about the same. Grandma's birthday is on the 27th of February (this is helpful for me to have written down somewhere). The news: Shelly and Kurt just got back from a week-long work-sponsored vacation in Brazil. Tyler got half of his toe amputated (he's had problems with his feet for ages, then someone dropped a manhole cover on it and it got infected. Gross.) Jenny'll start back at BYUI in April. Norm and Kaylynn brought sushi (wahoo!). Jamie is coming to my house to our crepe party on Thursday night. Dad hates Hillary, which we already knew and is busy with work which we also already knew. Mike and Linda are helping Andres, a kid Kristy taught in Ecuador, get out on his mish.

We also stopped by Gene and Ruth's. They have candy everywhere, it's fantastic. Ruth's not doing super well, they have people (Berta and Lilly, really great women) come in to help nights, get Ruth to bed etc. And Dave apparently conducted the wedding ceremony for his nephew in Florida last week. Bizarre and perfect.

Melissa can still out-sprint me though I'm certain I could take her at any distance.

You guys should post. We (I) would love to hear what's going on. Love you kids, ke.
