Hey family. For those of you who don't know: I'm flying out to NYC this weekend to interview for a teaching program called the Teaching Fellows. It's like Teach for America but based in NY. Plus they get you into and help you pay for a Master's program, and I think their people are less the ambitious go-getters and more the native NY reformed business-people which appeals to me. (TFA felt a little ideologically heavy-handed and it made me a little nervous.) If I get the gig I'll move to New York mid-June to do my training and probably end up living there for 3 or so years. I'm pretty excited and have been working hard this last week to decide if this is a wise decision. I was wondering if I could ask you to remember me in your prayers this weekend? Both that I'll be able to do well at my interview and also that I'll be able to figure out if the program and opportunity are a good fit for me? It would mean the world. Thanks crew, ke.
